At a drug rehab center lives get saved. Heck, there are probably lives being saved right now. Drug addictions can kill families, friendships, and careers. I’ve seen it happen. It happened to my buddy Brian. Brian got hooked on meth by smoking it at parties with some of his buddies. Back in the day, there wasn’t as much noise made about smoking it as there is today. Brian is a good man, but in the old days, he was a dumb kid. He kind of just tagged along with the wrong crowd and he did what thtey did. He was never accused of having bright ideas. Brian eventually got super hooked on meth and his life went downhill faster than a fat man on an icy slope. He wasn’t even the same Brian. It sucked to see him like that. A bunch of us, known as Brian’s ‘other friends’, got together and decided to have an intervention. We practically begged Brian to go to a drug rehab center and it actually worked. That’s how I know that drug rehabs work. Brian came out a new man and we owe it to the drug rehab center. It’s great to have my buddy back.

Rehab centers can save the lives of anyone that’s willing to give them a chance. My brother was one of the ones that was saved. His meth problem had been killing our family for a long time and we had pretty much had enough. It wasn’t fair. What was happening to my family was a travesty and it wasn’t all my brother’s fault. He had tried meth and it turned on him immediately. I don’t blame him for becoming hooked, it was the drug’s fault. I just wanted him to get better as soon as possible. We all did. The rehab centers I had heard about always seemed like the place that I would go if I got hooked on drugs. So why not Jimmy? He was my brother and I wanted to help him. Rehab centers are the only places to get the kind of help that Jimmy got for his addiction. His drug rehab worked beautifully and my brother has been sober for the last five years. That’s why I know that anybody could get help from the rehab centers because they did it for Jimmy.

Now if you have been to a drug rehab center then you probably know that it is the best way to go when you’re talking about a solution to addiction. Life at a drug rehab center definitely isn’t the most pleasant way to spend your days, but if you’re there then you probably know that you need it. It’s kind of a prerequisite for being there. I went to a drug rehab center and, no, I can’t say that it was the best vacation that I’ve ever had, but it was the only vacation I’ve taken that saved my life. That’s real.
