Drug treatment doesn’t have to suck if you don’t let it. For real. They say that life is what you make of it, then so is drug treatment. I not only know because I was in drug treatment, but, also because I had seen so many people in there stay in denial. They ruined it for themselves. Sure, drug rehab is no picnic, but you gotta get through it. That’s just how it is. That’s what you’re there for! Anyone who has had to go to drug treatment knows that the only way to be successful at it is to open yourself to it. That’s what I did and I can definitely tell you that I never thought it would work. Years later, members of my family revealed that they were skeptical as well. The reason that I succeeded against all odds back then was because I gave myself to the program. I gave myself to the formula that they had for guiding me back to sobriety.
